Proposals have been presented by the Japanese EBARA, Mitsubishi, Austrian EVN and French CNIM. The Government of Azerbaijan hopes to complete negotiations regarding the construction of the garbage processing plant in Azerbaijan and begin construction work by summer of 2007. According to the official data, annually 775,000 tons of domestic waste is collected in and out of Baku.
