Georgia, Tbilisi / corr. Trend N.Kirckhalia / Irakli Taktakishvili, the head of the transport department of the Georgian Economic Ministry, stated on 28 June during the meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on field economy and economy policy, that the Georgian government demonstrated initiative on free transportation among the GUAM ( Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Moldova) countries.
According to Taktakishvili, the project was submitted to CUAM member-countries. Free transportation includes not only transportation of lorries, but also passenger transportation.
The negotiations on the initiative have not been held by GUAM countries yet.
The members of the Committee positively assessed the initiative on free transportation among GUAM countries.
