Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend / A contract with Azerbaijan's Silk Way Airlines was signed at International Aerospace Salon (MAKS) in Zhukovski during the exhibition of Permian Motor Industry Complex. The contract envisages supply of five PS-90А-76 air engines made in Permian Engine Plant OJSC, Rosbalt quotes the enterprise.
The contract was undersigned by the Executive Director of Permian Engine Plant, Sergey Smolin and the Director General of Silk Way Airlines, Kamran Gasymov.
PS-90А-76 engine will enable Il-76 airliner to implement flights all over the world, for the engine corresponds to all requirements of the 4th chapter of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
Silk Way Airlines exploits one Il-76-ТД-90, the second one is being assembled at Tashkent aviation production association named after Chkalov. It will be ready by the end of 2007. The contracts provides for engines for the third airliner to be delivered next year.
PS-90А-76, which is a modification of PS-90А engine, corresponds to all norms of ICAO-2008 regarding emission of harmful substances and provides for correspondence of airliners to modern and prospective noise requirements.
Like world analogues, PS-90А-76 has no restrictions in maximal overhaul lifelength.
