Georgia, Tbilisi, Jan. 6 / Trend , N. Kirtskhalia /

The electric-power supply of 40,000 Georgian Energo-Pro consumers was suspended as a result of heavy snowfall and strong winds. At the moment, no electric power is being supplied to many villages in the mountainous region of Imereti, as well as Tsageri and Lentekhi.

Despite complex weather conditions, technical teams are working to restore the power supply by the end of the day.

An electric power shortage has already been repaired in several districts in the Rachi region. The failure was caused by a 25- kilowatt electric power line.Energo-Pro Georgia is continuing repair works and hopes to restore power as soon as possible.
