KazMunayGas managed to provide Kazakh oil products on the world market by putting into operation sea terminal in Midia (Romania), Kairgeldy Kabyldin, President of KazMunayGas JSC said in Astana on Feb. 25.

"Sea terminal with carrying capacity of 7,000 cubic meters per hour and power to 24 million tons per year was built and put into operation in Midia in 2008.

The main goal of the project is to reduce losses from transportation and pumping of oil and provide Kazakh oil products on the international markets," Kabyldin said.

Presently, output of petroleum procession products is developed in accordance with Euro-5 standard with capacity of five million tons per year at Petromidia refinery of Rompetrol company (subsidiary of KazMunayGas), he said.

Presently, 100 percent of diesel oil and 25 percent of petrol produced by the plant meet Euro-5 standard. They are supplied to Rompetrol own filling stations in Romania, Bulgaria, as well as other European countries.
