According to the plan of measures due to preparation for the autumn-winter season 2009-2010, SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) laid approximately 12,000 meters of land-based and underground pipes of various diameters, as well as gas pipelines of medium and low gas pressure, SOCAR said.
About 3,200 domestic gas meters were placed from yards and houses to the streets.
The work on technical control in subscribers' homes and public buildings was strengthened in accordance with the regulations in Azerbaijan, as well as instructions on technical inspection and rendering of services in public buildings and homes, in accordance with the approved schedule on gas exploitation.
