Novorossiysk Port decreases shipments of oil-related products

The Russian Black Sea port of Novorossiysk shipped 24.87 million tons of oil in January-July 2010, compared to 25.83 million tons during the same period last year.

Some 7.69 million tons of Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port oil products were shipped in January-July 2009, compared to 7.72 million tons during the same period in 2009.

A total of 50.1 million tons of various cargo were transported in January-July 2010, compared to 50.6 million tons during the same period last year.

The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic (SOCAR) is shipping its own gas via the port. In January-July 2010, SOCAR exported over 1.26 million tons of oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline, compared to 1.5 million tons in January-July 2009. Roughly 216,100 tons of oil were exported via the pipeline in July, compared to about 247,000 tons in the same period of 2009.

SOCAR exported about 2.5 million tons via the Baku-Novorossiysk in 2009, compared to 1.2 million tons in 2008. Roughly 1.2 million tons of oil were exported via the pipeline in 2007, which is similar to the 2006 figure. In 2005, Baku-Novorossiysk exported 1.6 million tons of oil.
