More than 19.98 million tons of oil was transported via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline in January-August 2016, as compared to 19.16 million tons in the first eight months of 2015, said the website of Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR.
BTC transported 2.49 million tons of Azerbaijani oil and 346,200 tons of Turkmen oil in August of 2016.
In total, more than 312.6 million tons of oil has been delivered to the world markets from Ceyhan since the start of the operation of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline.
BTC Co. shareholders are: BP (30.1 percent), AzBTC (25 percent), Chevron (8.9 percent), Statoil (8.71 percent), ТРАО (6.53 percent), Eni (5 percent), Total (5 percent), Itochu (3.4 percent), Inpex (2.5 percent), ConocoPhillips (2.5 percent) and ONGC (2.36 percent).
