SOCAR Energy Ukraine (a subsidiary of Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR in Ukraine) imported 1,800 tons of aviation fuel into Ukraine in January-February 2018, a source in Azerbaijan’s oil and gas market told Trend March 30.

The source said that SOCAR did not supply aviation fuel of Azerbaijani production to Ukraine.

“SOCAR Energy Ukraine imported products from Saudi Arabia and Lithuania. The company’s share in the total import of aviation kerosene to Ukraine was about three percent in the first two months of 2018,” noted the source.

SOCAR supplied more than 20,000 tons of aviation fuel to Ukraine in 2017.

SOCAR is represented by a subsidiary – SOCAR Energy Ukraine, and also owns a network of 60 filling stations in Ukraine.

SOCAR is the only producer of oil products in Azerbaijan on the basis of the Heydar Aliyev Baku oil refinery, where the existing facilities are being modernized.
