As of May 16, the daily volume of gas supplied to the population and other consumers in Azerbaijan amounted to 7,567 million cubic meters, Azerigas Public Association of Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR told Trend.
This indicator stood at 16,687 million cubic meters in the end of the second decade of April.
As of May 16, the daily gas consumption stood at 4,923 million cubic meters in Baku, and totaled 2,644 million cubic meters in other districts of the country.
Thus, the demand for gas decreased by 2.2 percent in Azerbaijan as compared to April 2018.
The number of gas subscribers in Azerbaijan exceeds 2.1 million, and the gasification level in the country is about 93 percent.
