As many as 53 petrochemical projects will be commissioned in time in Iran, CEO of Iran’s National Petrochemical Company (NPC) and Deputy Oil Minister Behzad Mohammadi said, Trend reports citing Nipna.
Mohammadi noted that obstacles and problems related to the implementation of projects are identified and eliminated.
The CEO added that the projects envisaged as part of the 2nd development program (projects to be commissioned before March 21, 2022) and the 3rd development program (projects to be commissioned before March 21, 2026) are being implemented.
“With the implementation of 26 projects as part of the 2nd development program, production volume of Iran’s petrochemical industry will increase from 66 million tons to 100 million tons a year, and with the implementation of 27 projects as part of the 3rd development program, annual production of Iran’s petrochemical industry will increase to 133 million tons,” Mohammadi said.
The Iranian deputy minister added that with the commissioning of these projects, the value of Iran’s oil products will be $37 billion.
