Azerbaijani Energy Ministry discloses gas production and export data on ACG and Shah Deniz fields in 1Q2020

Azerbaijan produced 10 billion cubic meters of gas, of which 3.5 billion cubic meters accounted for the share of Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) and 4.7 billion cubic meters - Shah Deniz field from January through March 2020, which is by 10 percent more compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports referring to the report of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Energy.

SOCAR produced 1.8 billion cubic meters of gas during this period, the report said.

From January through March 2020, 3.6 billion cubic meters of gas were exported abroad, which is 11.6 percent more than in the same period of 2019.

In 1Q2020, 2.6 billion cubic meters of gas were exported to Turkey, which is by 23 percent more than in the same period of 2019, and 923 million cubic meters of gas were exported to Georgia.

Some 941 million cubic meters of gas were supplied to Turkey through TANAP from January through March 2020. Since the commissioning of TANAP, about five billion cubic meters of gas were exported to Turkey.

The indicators on export and production of gas in Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli and Shah-Deniz fields, which play an important role in the development of the Azerbaijani oil and gas industry, have been also specified.

So, since the commissioning of Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli and Shah-Deniz fields, as of April 1, 290 billion cubic meters of gas have been produced.

As of April 1, 168.4 billion cubic meters of gas were produced from Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli block of fields.

Since the commissioning of Shah Deniz field, 121.5 billion cubic meters of gas and 29 million tons of condensate were produced as of April 1, the report said.

According to the report, so far, 527 million tons of oil (including condensate) and 80.3 billion cubic meters of gas have been exported from these fields.
