Kazakhstan's power generating company sees drop in sales volume

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 29

Equity of Kazakhstan’s Crystal Management JSC amounted to 31.7 billion tenge ($78.9 million) in 2019, which indicates an increase by 38 percent compared to 22.9 billion tenge ($57.1 million) in 2018, Trend reports with reference to the company’s report.

The company’s report was submitted to and published by Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE).

The report said that company’s total assets amounted to 57.3 billion tenge ($142.6 million) in 2019, which is 6.4 percent more than in 2018 (53.8 billion tenge or $133.9 million).

The company’s total liabilities as of the end of 2019 stood at 25.5 billion tenge ($63.7 million) compared to 30.8 billion tenge ($76.8 million) in 2018.

The sales volume of the company was 5.9 billion tenge ($14.6 million) in 2019, which is slightly less than 6.4 billion tenge ($16.09 million) in 2018.

Gross revenue of Crystal Management JSC amounted to 1.2 billion tenge ($3.1 million) in 2019, which indicates a drop compared to 1.5 billion tenge ($3.9 million) in 2018.

Company’s net loss amounted to 1.4 billion tenge ($3.5 million) in 2019 which indicates a nearly twofold decrease compared to 2.1 billion tenge ($5.2 million) in 2018.

Crystal Management JSC has been working in the power generation industry since 2008. The company has been involved in the subsoil use activity since 2014.

The company has successfully built and operates a gas turbine power plant at the Akshabulak field in Kazakh Kyzylorda region. The company built this facility on a loan from the Kazakhstan’s Development Bank and funds from Kazakhstan’s National Fund.

Crystal Management also carries out hydrocarbon exploration on the licensed area in the western part of the South Torgai Depression within the Kyzylorda, Karaganda and Aktobe regions.
