Uzbekneftegaz eyes to increase natural gas production at Savatli field in Bukhara region

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Nov. 16

By Klavdiya Romakayeva - Trend:

Uzbekneftegaz plans to produce 99.3 million cubic meters of natural gas and 1,300 tons of gas condensate at the Savatli field in the Bukhara region of Uzbekistan, Trend reports referring to the press service of Uzbekneftegaz.

Intensive work is underway at the Savatli field located in the Karakul district of the Bukhara region.

As of November 1, 2020, there are nine wells in this field, of which six wells are active and three wells are abandoned.

Some 82,450 million cubic meters of natural gas (100 percent of the plan) and 1,000 tons of gas condensate (100 percent of the plan) were produced from the Savatli field from January through October 2020.

An additional 220,000 cubic meters of natural gas and 2.4 tons of gas condensate were produced in order to increase production rates in wells through drilling and commissioning of two new wells (9, 10 wells).

Natural gas produced at the Savatli field is transported via a pipeline with a total length of 21.2 kilometers to the Kulbeshkak primary gas treatment facility.

Natural gas produced at the unit, after initial preparation through a pipeline with a diameter of 426×18 millimeters and a length of 31.5 kilometers, is delivered to the Uchkir plant for gas purification from sulfur. In the plant's installations, hydrogen sulfide and acid gases are released from the composition of natural gas, which are released by the MDEA (methyldiethanolamine) solution during the absorption process.

The purified natural gas is transported through the Uchkir-Gazli 47-kilometer pipeline to the Gazli main department of gas pipelines.

It is planned to build a block of input wells in preparation for the fall-winter season of 2020-2021 in order to increase daily production by preventing gas compression from wells at the field.

The Savatli field was added to production in 2019 after the work was carried out to return well No. 1 from conservation. Currently, the field produces 550,000 cubic meters of natural gas and seven tons of gas condensate from six wells.
