I-V phases of the gas purification unit from sulfur compounds using zeolite are being modernized at the head structure of the Shurtan Oil and Gas Production Department in the Kashkadarya region of Uzbekistan, Trend reports citing Uzbekneftegaz JSC.
According to Uzbekneftegaz, the modernization of the unit is being carried out within the framework of the target program of Uzbekneftegaz JSC for 2021.
It was noted that detailed design documentation for the modernization of I – V stages of the gas purification unit from sulfur compounds using zeolite was developed by O’ZLITINEFTGAZ JSC (Head Industry Research and Design Institute of Uzbekistan).
The equipment is prepared in stages and supplied by manufacturing companies on the basis of tenders in accordance with this project. In particular, at present, two separator devices and 96 high-temperature ball valves are supplied by the Czech company Global Industrial Solutions from Uzbekkhimmash JSC.
To date, construction and installation work is underway at the second stage of the installation - 42 ball valves and 1 separator.
It is reported that the main goal of the project is to bring the quality indicators of processed natural gas in line with the requirements of the O'zDSt-948: 2016 standard and increase the gas processing capacity of the unit. Thus, the material and morally obsolete gas processing equipment, pipeline fittings, and the automatic control system of processes on devices are being modernized.
Construction and installation work is carried out by the general contractor Muborakneftegazmontazh JSC.
Uzbekneftegaz notes that as a result of the modernization of this technological unit, four billion cubic meters of natural gas per year will be purified from sulfur using zeolite. And as a result of operating the plant at full capacity, a reduction in the volume of processed natural gas will be obtained.
Commissioned in 1980 the Shurtan Oil and Gas Production Department is located in the Guzar District of the Kashkadarya Region. In 1987, the second block of the shop was launched to clean gas from sulfur using zeolite. Natural gas purification units using zeolite are designed to purify natural gas from sulfur compounds.
The department has a design capacity of receiving four billion cubic meters of natural gas per year, produced from gas fields owned by JV Gissarneftegaz LLC and Lukoil Uzbekistan operating company LLC.
