Iranian experts repair equipment at Kharg oil terminal

The loading arm equipment at the Kharg oil terminal in the Bushehr Province (southern Iran) has been repaired and upgraded by local specialists, Deputy Director for the Kharg Oil Terminal of the Iranian Oil Terminals Company Abbas Gharibi said, Trend reports citing the company’s website.

Gharibi noted that the expenses have been reduced by repairing this equipment by local specialists.

The director added that so, about 10 billion rials were saved in 315 days. All spare parts used in the equipment were provided by domestic manufacturers.

As reported, Iran's Kharg oil terminal has two platforms. Six oil tankers with a capacity of 275,000 tons can simultaneously dock to the West platform (T). Three oil tankers with a capacity of 300,000-500,000 tons can simultaneously dock to the second platform (Azarpad) of the terminal.

The Kharg terminal also has more than 40 storage facilities for the export of crude oil. The total capacity of these storage facilities is more than 20 million barrels.
