Uzbekneftegaz shares data on shipment of sulfur products

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 16

By Klavdiya Romakayeva - Trend:

Uzbekneftegaz JSC has shipped to consumers 215,000 tons of sulfur products since the establishment of an effective process of shipment of sulfur products, Trend reports referring to Uzbekneftegaz JSC.

According to Uzbekneftegaz JSC, more than 500,000 tons of sulfur products worth more than $9 million have been sold at exchange auctions since the beginning of this year.

It was noted that the achievement of positive results is reached through the use of a method that has not previously been used in the sale of sulfur products. For example, the terms of supply of sulfur to consumers have been changed and sale on EXW (Ex Works shipping) and DAP (Delivered-at-Place) terms has been introduced.

Also, the benefits provided by the presidential decree for exporting enterprises are widely used. Services for the transportation of sulfur from the Mubarek Gas Processing Plant to the border of the country are carried out by rail with a 50 percent discount.

It is reported that since the establishment of effective sales of sulfur products on the market, 215,000 tons of sulfur products have been shipped to consumers this year, of which 101,500 tons account for April.

Uzbekneftegaz noted that the management of the Mubarek Gas Processing Plant organized the process of shipping sulfur products in two shifts and created the necessary conditions for more than 100 employees involved in the shipping process.

“All processes of loading sulfur into railway wagons are carried out by the conveyor method - reception of railway wagons, cleaning, and washing of wagons, loading, packing goods, weighing loaded wagons, as well as loading goods into wagons with their coverage in big-bags.

It is noted that sulfur is mainly supplied to countries such as China, India, Turkey, Russia, Switzerland, Iran, Africa, and Latin America, which indicates that the level of quality is at a level corresponding to world requirements.

The Mubarek gas processing plant for the purification of sour gas is one of the largest enterprises in the oil and gas industry in Uzbekistan. The enterprise has a cleaning and drying capacity of 33.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year, production of 186,000 tons of stable condensate, and 258,000 tons of liquefied gas.

In 2018, it was planned to put into operation a new production of granular sulfur with a capacity of up to 80,000 tons of demanded products. In addition to granulated sulfur, the enterprise also has lump sulfur. It is formed up to 280,000 tons per year.
