Uzbekneftegaz, ERIELL plan to commission several wells at Ustyurt gas production dep’t

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Aug. 20

By Klavdiya Romakayeva - Trend:

Uzbekneftegaz JSC and ERIELL Oilfield Services Middle East DMCC plan to complete drilling and commission 10 more wells Ustyurt Gas Production Department (UGPD) by end of 2021, Trend reports citing Uzbekneftegaz JSC.

According to the information, Uzbek ERIELL Oilfield Services Middle East DMCC was involved as the general contractor in the implementation of the work under the program for Increasing Hydrocarbon Production for 2017–2021. Thus,19 wells were put into operation at the fields of the UGPD from January through July 2021.

It is reported that 260.1 million cubic meters of natural gas were produced. By the end of the year, work is underway to complete drilling and commission 10 more wells. As a result of the implementation of these measures, 728 million cubic meters of natural gas will be produced.

In accordance with the program, in order to increase the volume of natural gas production, increase the throughput of gas pipelines from gas fields to integrated gas treatment units and from installations to main gas pipelines of Uztransgaz JSC, it is planned to build a total of 45.4 kilometers of gas pipelines of various sizes.

It is noted that earlier of these planned gas pipelines at the first stage, 14 kilometers of gas pipelines and the Arslan complex gas treatment unit with a capacity of two billion cubic meters of natural gas per year were put into operation.

In July 2021, in order to further increase gas production from the Nizhny Surgil and Arslan fields, increase the throughput of gas pipelines, additional gas pipelines were built and put into operation: before the complex gas treatment plant Arslan with a total length of 8.2 kilometers 426 millimeters, from the North Berdak field to the Vostochny Berdak complex gas treatment unit with a total length of 6.2 kilometers and a diameter of 325 millimeters. A total of 14.4 kilometers of gas pipelines were built and put into operation.

In addition, within the framework of the program, the ERIELL supplied the necessary pipeline, pipeline fittings, and completed construction and installation work.

As a result of the commissioning of this gas pipeline, it became possible to transport natural gas produced from the Nizhny Surgil and Arslan fields and the promising Aralik and Western Nizhny Surgil fields to the Arslan complex gas purification unit.

Uzbekneftegaz noted that with an increase in the gas throughput through existing pipelines, an increase in the daily volume of natural gas production is achieved due to an increase in the gas pressure difference in the pipelines, i.e. by eliminating hydraulic resistance.

Along with this, the state of construction and installation work carried out on the projected gas pipeline with a diameter of 530 millimeters and a length of 17 kilometers was studied in order to increase the throughput of natural gas treatment pipelines from the Arslan and Vostochny Berdak gas treatment plants to the main gas pipelines of Uztransgaz JSC.

It is reported that by now, the work on the installation of the gas pipeline has been completed, the work on the installation of gas flow measurement lines, the installation of pipeline valves have been considered on-site.
