Romania imported mineral fuels, mineral oils, and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes in the amount of over 92 million Euros from Turkmenistan from January through June 2021, Eurostat told Trend.
Eurostat reports that the total volume of Turkmen oil products imported by during the reporting period accounted for 239,774 tons.
According to the Eurostat, Romania in January 2021 imported Turkmen oil products worth 23.6 million Euros. It is noted that Turkmenistan suspended export of oil products to this country from February through March 2021.
However, starting from April, Turkmenistan resumed export of oil products to Romania.
In particular, Romania imported from Turkmenistan 30,000 tons of oil products worth 12.4 million Euros in April, 79,823 tons worth 33 million Euros in May, and 54,664 tons of oil products worth over 23 million Euros in June 2021.
According to Eurostat, the total export of Turkmen oil products to European Union countries since the beginning of 2021 in value terms amounted to 204 million Euros.
It is noted that the volume of Turkmen’s export of oil products to EU countries in 1H2021 in physical terms accounted for 510,063 tons.
