Mohammad Moshkinfam has indicated that following the completion of first phase, the offshore section in this field has also been completed and it is expected that phase 11 will be completed in the next two years.
He noted that there is currently a 3,600-kilometer pipeline laid under the sea and is in full production.
"Currently 700,000 barrels of gas condensate are being produced per day at South Pars, although the figure would change, and by completing the remaining sections the production capacity of gas condensate would reach 1 million barrels per day," he said.
The South Pars/ North Dome gas field is a natural-gas condensate field located in the Persian Gulf. It is by far the world's largest natural gas field, ownership of the field is shared between Iran and Qatar.
