BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 7. Iran will launch two new refineries with a total capacity of 420,000 barrels of crude oil and gas condensate per day by the end of the current Iranian government (August 2025), Iranian Deputy Oil Minister Houshang Falahatian told Fars News Agency, Trend reports.

The deputy minister said that one of these refineries is the Parsian Oil and Gas Development Company's gas condensate refinery in Bushehr Province. He added that the daily refining capacity of this refinery will be 120,000 barrels of gas condensate.

“At the same time, in cooperation with the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC), a crude oil refinery will be launched in the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran). The daily refining capacity of the mentioned refinery will be 300,000 barrels,” Falahatian also pointed out.

According to Falahatian, a total of 8 crude oil and gas condensate refineries are planned to be launched in the country over the next six years.
