BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 28. Power generation of the Shahid Rajaee Thermal Power Plant in the Qazvin Province (northern Iran) increased by 23 percent, in the 3rd month of the current Iranian year (May 22 through June 21, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, the Director of Shahid Rajaee TPP Abolfazl Mutabha said, Trend reports citing Iranian Energy Ministry.
Mutabha said that the Shahid Rajaee TPP has generated a total of 1.18 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity within the mentioned month.
"Of the mentioned volume, 563 million kilowatt-hours were generated by the combined cycle units of the thermal power plant, while 614 million kilowatt-hours - by steam units," the director said.
The Shahid Rajaee Thermal Power Plant has 13 units. Four of them are steam units each generation capacity of 250 megawatt-hours, and the rest are combined-cycle units. In total, the TPP can generate 2,040 megawatts of electricity.
