BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 18. Azerbaijan started importing RON-92 gasoline from Lithuania in August 2023, Trend reports.
A total of 20,094 tons worth $22.6 million were imported from Lithuania.
According to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan imported 58,062 tons of RON-92 gasoline from January through August 2023, which is 70.5 percent lower than the same period last year. The cost of gasoline imported during this period amounted to $54.1 million (a decrease of 75.8 percent).
The largest amount of imported gasoline (74.4 percent) was brought from Turkmenistan – 22,073 tons worth $19.6 million during the reporting period of 2023. In addition, 14,947 tons worth $11.9 million were received from Russia.
Azerbaijan imported 198,079 tons of RON-92 gasoline worth $223.5 million in 2022.
