Azeri Industry & Energy Minister to participate in conference in Georgia
Natig Aliyev, the Azerbaijani Industry and Energy Minister, will participate in the 5th Georgian international conference Oil, Gas, Energy and Infrastructure (GIOGIE-2006) in Tbilisi from 16 to 17 March, Iteca Caspian, entered ITE Group plc, told Trend.
GIOGIE-2006 became a traditional annual forum, attracting over 250 delegates from 15 countries. The conference is held under the official support of the Georgian Energy Ministry and the International Georgian Oil Corp.
The Company noted that the conference will discuss tendencies and potential of Georgia for oil and gas transportation, new opportunities for specialized firms, cooperation with Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kazakhstan and Russia, investment in infrastructure i.e. port, railway, telecommunications, safety, insurance, rehabilitation of the Georgias energy sector, development of local oil industry.
There will be Nikoloz Gilauri, the Georgian Energy Minister, Osman Dink, the chairman of Turkish TRAO, Daniyar Berlibayev, the Director General of Kaztransgas, Ref Digins, the regional manager of BP Georgia, will be among the rapporteurs.
The official support will be rendered by the Georgian Energy Ministry, International Georgian Oil Corp. (GIOC) and National Oil Company of Georgia.
