Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr S. Babayeva / An increase in the demand for energy in the world will comprise to 30% by 2030. Several trillions of dollars will be required to meet the demands, Deputy Secretary of the Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Ministry, Yusuf Yazar , said on the 6th of June at the 'Caspian Oil and Gas - 2007' conference in Baku.
According to Yazar , hydrocarbon reserves in the Caspian Sea will play an important role in satisfying the demands.
Yazar noted that the Baku-Tbilisi- Erzurum gas pipeline intended to export Azerbaijani gas from the Shah Daniz field to Turkey and other European countries will be put into operation in several weeks.
" Turkey considers it necessary to develop the export of gas to Europe. Turkish-Greek gas pipeline will be extended till Italy. We need several months for completion of the work," he stated.
According to Yazar , Turkey pays great attention to ecology and security of routes in the implementation of the projects.
