Liabilities of Azerbaijan’s National Depository Center double

In 2018, Azerbaijan’s National Depository Center (NDC) increased the volume of total assets by 74 percent compared to 2017, Trend reports with reference to an audited report by NDC.

In accordance with the balance sheet, the total assets as of December 31, 2018, amounted to 29.479 million manats. The main share of assets (85.7 percent) amounted for cash and bank accounts - 25.584 million manats (an increase of 2.3 times over the year). The total volume of liabilities amounted to 23, 234 manats - two times higher than in 2017. The capital of NDC increased by 2.8 percent and amounted to 6.219 million manats. The retained earnings of the depository center remained almost unchanged at 128,000 manats.

The NDC’s net operating profit amounted to 64,678 manats and was generated from operating income in the amount of 2.532 million manats, the volume of which during the reporting period decreased by 29 percent, and operating expenses in the amount of 2.532 million manats (a decrease of 32 percent). Financial income amounted to 169,134 manats, having decreased by 6.5 percent.

After deducting income tax in the amount of 62,675 manats, net annual profit amounted to 170,136 manats, remaining almost unchanged for the year.
