BAKU, Azerbaijan, Dec. 25

By Fakhri Vakilov - Trend:

Ernst & Young has received the license of an investment adviser in Uzbekistan and will now be able to work with enterprises as a licensed participant in securities, Trend reports citing Uzbek media.

The license was handed over by the director of Uzbekistan’s Agency for the Development of the Capital Market Atabek Nazirov during a meeting with professional market participants, which discussed the strategy for developing the capital market for the next five years.

A license of an investment consultant will allow the company to provide consulting services on issues of issuance, placement and circulation of securities, on analysis and forecasting of the state of the securities market and its participants, as well as retraining and further training of specialists in the securities market.

To date, more than 40 licensed investment advisers operate in Uzbekistan.

Earlier it was reported that KPMG also received a license as an investment adviser in Uzbekistan.
