Universal Bank of Uzbekistan issues additional shares

The Agency for Capital Market Development registered an additional issue of shares by Joint Stock Commercial Bank Universal Bank for a total amount of 50 billion soum ($5.2 million), Trend reports citing Uzbek media.
The number of additional shares issued by the bank is 10 million units with a nominal value of 5,000 soum (50 cents).
The shares will be sold by open subscription; they will be placed and traded at the Stock Exchange "Toshkent".
Universal Bank JSCB also has been included in the stock exchange quotation list.
In 2019, the bank's shares worth over 24.6 billion soum ($2.5 million) were traded at the exchange trading. As of February 20, 2020, the market value of one ordinary share of the Universal Bank was equal to its nominal value and made up 5,000 soum.
The market capitalization of the bank is 100 billion soum ($10.4 million).
Universal Bank is one of the largest regional banks in Uzbekistan and its branch network includes branches in Tashkent, Kokand and Ferghana cities.
