BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 11

By Elnur Baghishov – Trend:

About 7.05 trillion rials (about $168 million) in loans have been issued to industrial, agricultural and tourism enterprises in Iran's Qom province during last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020), said Mahmoud Sijani, chairman of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Qom Province, Trend reports citing the organization’s official website.

Sijani emphasized that during this period, the loans worth 5.59 trillion rials (about $133 million) were approved to be issued to 112 industrial enterprises to increase the production.

The chairman added that 350,000 tons of products worth $250 million are planned to be exported from Qom province to neighboring countries in the current year of Iran (began March 20, 2020).

During the first three months of this year (March 20-June 20, 2020), the products worth $31 million were exported, he said.

"Given that 80 percent of Iran's customs borders have been restored, the planned volumes of exports can be achieved," Sijani added.

More than 51 trillion rials (about $1.21 billion) have been invested in industrial enterprises in Iran's Qom Province. As many as 2,230 industrial enterprises operate in the province and employ 56,800 people.
