The deficit of the Azerbaijani state budget amounted to 401.5 million manats ($236.1 million) from January through August 2020, Trend reports referring to a report of the State Statistics Committee.
According to the data, in the reporting period, the state budget revenues made up over 15.9 billion manats ($9.3 billion), rising by 7.7 percent compared to the same period in 2019.
Meanwhile, the state budget expenditures topped 16.3 billion manats ($9.6 billion), which is 11.2 percent more than in the same period of last year, the committee said.
The general forecast for the state budget revenues are over 24.1 billion manats ($14.2 billion), expenditure - almost 26.9 billion manats ($15.8 billion) in 2020.
The state budget deficit is projected at nearly 2.8 billion manats ($1.6 billion) or 3.3 percent of GDP this year.
The state budget revenues amounted to 24.2 billion manats ($14.2 billion) or 104.5 percent of the forecast figure in 2019, which is 1.7 billion manats ($1 billion) or 7.6 percent more than in 2018.
