Baku Stock Exchange discloses data on corporative securities transactions

The Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) participants carried out transactions on corporate securities worth over 1.7 billion manat ($1.03 billion) from January through October 2020, Trend reports citing BSE.

During the reporting period, a total of 2,172 transactions had been conducted, of which 2,043 transactions (94.1 percent) in the amount of 1.5 billion manat ($880 million) accounted for the secondary market. So, 1,650 shares were sold in the secondary market for 29.7 million manat ($17.4 million), and 393 bonds – for 1.45 billion manat ($850 million). Furthermore, 87 transactions (4.3 percent of all transactions in the secondary market) were made on mortgage bonds in the amount of 1.43 billion manat ($840 million).

Among the transactions carried out over the reporting period, 129 transactions (5.9 percent) worth 265.5 million manat ($156.1 million) were made in the primary market. So, 54 shares were sold in the secondary market for 40 million manat ($23.5 million), and 75 bonds – for 225.5 million manat ($132.6 million). Yet 12 transactions were made on mortgage bonds in the amount of 200.8 million manat ($118.1 million).

In the past 10 months, repo transactions on corporate securities amounted to over 36.6 million manat ($21.5 million). In total, 1,064 corporate repo transactions were carried out at BSE.
