Azerbaijani Nakhchivan's January 2021 GDP grows

The value of GDP of Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic in January 2021 made up 175.8 million manat ($103.4 million), showing a growth of 0.3 percent compared to the same month of 2020, Trend reports on Feb.12 citing the report of Nakhchivan’s State Statistical Committee.

The GDP per capita indicator in Nakhchivan for the reporting month reached 380.9 manat ($224), having risen by 1.2 percent over the year.

“Industry ranks first in terms of its share in Nakhchivan’s GDP. The industrial products were produced in the amount of 95.6 million manat ($56.2 million), which is 1.2 percent more than in January last year,” said the report.

At the same time, as part of investments in fixed assets, slightly over 37.4 million manat ($22 million) was allocated from all financial sources of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, showing a growth of 1.1 percent year on year.

In 2020, the GDP of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic was 2.9 billion manat ($1.7 billion), up by 1.1 percent compared to 2018.

In general, the GDP per capita indicator in Nakhchivan for 2020 amounted to 6,310 manat ($3,710), having risen by 1.8 percent over the year.
