Total volume of allocated loans increases in Turkmenistan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 13

Total volume of loans in Turkmenistan increased by 11 percent as of February 1, 2021, compared to the same date last year, Trend reports with reference to the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

The volume of loans allocated to the non-state sector of the economy exceeded the same indicator of the previous year by 14.6 percent. The growth rate for the issuance of concessional bank loans to private entities was 3.1 percent. Some 1,824 projects were financed.

The volume of credit funds allocated to private producers working in the agro-industrial complex for the purchase of agricultural machinery and equipment in comparison with the same indicator last year increased by 33.5 percent.

The amount of loans allocated to the private sector of Turkmenistan in 2020 increased by 18.9 percent, compared to the previous year.

The amount of credit funds allocated to private producers for the purchase of agricultural machinery and equipment increased by 34.9 percent.

The amount of funds allocated for the financial needs of economic entities increased by 11.4 percent.

As part of measures to support entrepreneurs, the volume of allocated concessional bank loans increased by 4.3 percent. Some 1,821 projects were funded in Turkmenistan.
