TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, May 20. Uzbekistan's Fergana oil refinery completed construction of a steam boiler house with a chemical water treatment unit, which is an important stage in the large-scale modernization of the refinery, Trend reports.
According to Saneg (Uzbekistan's largest private oil and gas company), the construction of a steam boiler house is an important stage in the large-scale modernization of the refinery.
The project, worth $24 million, is designed to meet the needs of Fergana oil refinery's existing and new production facilities with chemically treated water and high-quality steam and to optimize operating costs, including energy costs.
The refinery's new steam boiler house is a modern facility capable of producing medium- and high-pressure steam with a thermal capacity of 225 tons per hour. The main suppliers of equipment are internationally recognized companies such as Macchi and Technokhimreagent.
Meanwhile, Saneg will invest around $350 million (excluding VAT) in a project on capacity utilization and upgrading of the Fergana oil refinery in the coming years.
Saneg is implementing the project at the Fergana oil refinery by 2025. The project envisages a significant increase in processing depth, from the current 84 percent to 93 percent and higher.
