ASTANA, Kazakhstan, May 21. The volume of oil production at Kazakhstan's Tengiz field for the share of KazMunayGas (KMG, national oil and gas company) amounted to 1.5 million tons (132,000 barrels per day) from January through March 2024, Trend reports.
According to KMG's data, compared to the same period in 2023, the volume of oil production increased by 2.1 percent.
As the KMG noted, the increase in production was due to the high productivity of wells, the reliable operation of second-generation plants, a complex of technological lines, as well as favorable ambient temperatures affecting the productivity of plants.
At the same time, associated gas production at the field increased by 3.4 percent, amounting to 839 million cubic meters.
Meanwhile, the volume of oil and gas condensate production by KazMunayGas amounted to 6.064 million tons (503,000 barrels per day) from January through March 2024. The volume of oil and gas condensate production grew by 1.7 percent compared to the same period in 2023.
At the same time, natural and related gas output climbed by 4.6 percent over the reporting period, reaching 2.52 billion cubic meters.
