Iran unveils prices for apartments in Tehran city

The average price of 1 square meter of apartment in the Tehran city was 302 million rials (about $7,200) in the 12th month of the last Iranian year (February 19 through March 20, 2021), Trend reports citing the statistics of Central Bank of Iran.

According to the statistics, the price of apartments per square meter decreased by 6.6 percent compared to the 11th month of the last Iranian year (January 20 through February 18, 2021) and increased by 93.7 percent compared to the 12th month of preceding Iranian year (February 20 through March 19, 2020).

“The most expensive price for apartments between 22 districts of Tehran was registered in the 1st district. Thus, the price of apartments per square meter in the district amounted to 687 million rials (about $16,300). The cheapest apartment prices in the 12th month were registered in the 18th district. So, the price of apartments per square meter in this district was 121 million rials (about $2,880). The prices in these districts increased by 105 percent and 58.6 percent, respectively, compared to the same month of the preceding Iranian year,” the statistics said.

In addition, the average price of 1 square meter of apartment in the Tehran city was 239 million rials (about $5,680) in the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), which in an increase of 80 percent compared to the preceding Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 through March 19, 2020), the statistics said.

According to the statistics, a total of 83,300 apartments were sold in Tehran last year. This is a decrease of 0.3 percent compared to the preceding year.
