Azerbaijan talks 1Q2021 share of corporate securities deals in secondary market

The total volume of transactions on corporate securities at the Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) made up 134.35 million manat ($79 million) from January through March 2021, Trend reports on Apr.2 referring to the data of the BSE.

Totally, 1,275 transactions were carried out in the reporting period, of which 1,271 (99.7 percent) amounting to over 73.8 million manat ($43.4 million) fell on the secondary market.

In particular, 1,183 shares worth 825,950 manat ($486,140) and 88 bonds worth slightly over 73 million manat ($42.9 million) were sold.

Besides, 3 transactions accounted for the sale of mortgage bonds in the amount of 62.9 million manat ($37 million).

In the primary market, 4 transactions (0.3 percent) were carried out for about 60.5 million manat ($35.6 million), including the sale of two shares for 5.5 million manat ($3.2 million) and 2 bonds for 55 million manat, which in full accounted for mortgage bonds.

The total capitalization of the BSE on the last trading day of March 2021 made up more than 4.1 billion manat ($2.4 billion), up by 7 percent since early 2021.
