Volume of funds received in Azerbaijan significantly grows in 1Q2021

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 25

The volume of funds received in Azerbaijan in the first quarter of 2021 rose by 13.6 percent over the year, the review of the monetary policy of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), Trend reports on May 25.

According to the CBA, this figure reached $213.6 million.

Besides, inflow of funds to Azerbaijan’s fixed capital from foreign enterprises and organizations in the reporting period continued. So, over 1.1 billion manat ($650 million, or 48 percent of the total volume) was invested to the country’s fixed capital from external resources.

Most of the funds directed to the fixed capital of Azerbaijan from foreign countries and international organizations in 1Q2021 fell on investors from Turkey, the UK, the US, Norway, Japan, France, and Malaysia.
