The main part (59.1 percent) of the loan portfolio of Azerbaijani banks accounted for business loans as of early June 2021, which reached 8.7 billion manat ($5.1 billion), which is by 1.4 percent less than in the same period of last year, Trend reports with reference to the financial report of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
During the reporting period, consumer loans accounted for 26.2 percent of banks' loan portfolio (3.8 billion manat $2.2 billion) while mortgage loans - 14.7 percent (2.2 billion manat $1.3 billion).
In general, the total loan portfolio of Azerbaijani banks exceeded 14.7 billion manat ($8.6 billion) as of early June, while a year earlier this figure was 14.4 billion manat ($8.5 billion).
The total loan portfolio of banks increased by 2.3 percent or 330.4 million manat ($194.3 million) on an annualized basis.
The total profit of the Azerbaijani banking sector reached 273.2 million manat ($160.7 million) as of early June 2021.
