Following the negotiations at the Tashkent International Congress Center in Uzbekistan, between the Chief Executive Officer of the Islamic Corporation for the Insurance of Investments and Export Credit (ICIEC), Oussama Kaissi, and the management of the Joint Stock Insurance Company Uzbekinvest, a memorandum of cooperation was signed, Trend reports citing Uzbekinvest.
The memorandum provides for cooperation in the area of insurance and reinsurance of bilateral and regional investment projects in the field of industry, agriculture, transport, utilities, education, healthcare, etc.
Moreover, the memorandum will facilitate cooperation between the Islamic Corporation for Insurance of Investments and Export Credits and the Joint Stock Insurance Company Uzbekinvest in the field of information exchange, personnel training, and the development of new insurance products for exporters and investors.
Uzbekinvest JSC Export-Import Insurance Company, founded in 1994, is the largest insurance company in Uzbekistan, making a significant contribution to export and investment insurance.
In particular, following the results of 7 months of 2021, the company provided comprehensive insurance protection of the economic interests of national exporters and commercial banks abroad from political and commercial risks in the amount of more than $936 million.
Overall, Uzbekinvest JSC signed 34 agreements on cooperation and memorandums of understanding with foreign export credit agencies.
