There are currently 607-megawatt generation capacity certificate bonds are available for purchase. The bonds are issued by the Ministry of Energy's permit for sale at Iran Energy Exchange to create new power plants. The following instrument has been 2020.

The previous Iranian government has guaranteed the purchase of most of the electricity generated by the private companies, and a part of it is directly sold to industrial units or commercial sectors through the country’s energy exchange market known as IRENEX.

The offering of electricity at IRENEX has been following an upward trend so that over the past two years the offerings have more than tripled, and many of the country’s big industrial units have been directly purchasing their required electricity from the energy exchange with more efficient prices.
