Azerbaijan reveals state budget revenues for 9M2021

The revenues of the state budget of Azerbaijan from January through September 2021 amounted to about 18.948 billion manats ($11.1 billion), which exceeds the figure for the same period last year by 1.236 billion manats ($727 million), Trend reports citing the Azerbaijani Finance Ministry.

According to the ministry, state budget revenues exceeded 18.818 billion manats ($11 billion), which is five percent higher than forecasts. Earlier it was predicted that state budget revenues would amount to about 17.872 billion manats ($10.5 million).

In addition, the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan transferred over 6.354 billion manats ($3.7 billion) to the state budget in 9M2021, which is 20.2 percent or 1.066 billion manats ($627 million) more than the previously predicted indicators.

The Ministry of Finance also said that 73.9 percent, or about 4.699 billion manats ($2.8 billion), accounted for revenues from the non-oil sector, which exceeds the indicators of the same period in 2020 by 442.8 million manats ($260 million), or 10.4 percent.

It is noted that 3.193 billion manats ($1.9 billion) were transferred to the budget through the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, which is 352.2 million manats ($207 million), or 12.4 percent more than forecasts. Transfers through the State Customs Committee to the state budget in the reporting period exceeded the indicators of the same period last year by 238 million manats ($140 million), or 8.1 percent.
