BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 20. The total liabilities of Azerbaijan’s Bank of Baku increased by 19.66 percent as of March 31, 2022 compared to the same period in 2021, Trend reports citing the bank's balance sheet.

According to the report, the total liabilities of the Bank of Baku increased over the year by 69.07 million manat ($40.6 million) - up to 420.4 million manat ($247.3 million).

A significant share (59.29 percent) in the structure of liabilities was made by deposits, which increased by 21.9 percent over the year - up to 249.2 million manat ($146.6 million).

At the same time, the share of deposits of legal entities in the structure of the bank's liabilities amounted to 11.94 percent. Deposits of legal entities increased by 26.91 percent over the year and amounted to 29.7 million manat ($17.4 million).

The share of deposits of individuals in the structure of liabilities of the Bank of Baku amounted to 88.06 percent. The deposits of individuals increased by 21.25 percent over the year - up to 219.5 million manat ($129.1 million).

The bank's liabilities to credit organizations and other financial institutions increased by 114.81 percent over the year and reached 74.9 million manat ($44.05).

The requirements of the Central Bank decreased by 25 percent and amounted to 63.9 million manat ($37.5 million), other liabilities increased by 2.45 percent to 11.5 million manat ($6.7 million).

The share capital of the bank amounted to 52.8 million manat ($31 million) as of March 31, 2022, unchanged over the year.

Bank of Baku's retained earnings amounted to 43.5 million manat ($25.5), which is 113.23 percent more than in 1Q2021. Capital reserves amounted to 7.8 million manat ($4.6 million), having increased by 3.41 percent over the year.

The total capital of the bank in 1Q2022 amounted to 104.2 million manat ($61.3 million), having increased by 28.89 percent over the year.
