ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, December 28.The entire amount of funds on settlement, current accounts, and deposits in Turkmen banks as of November 1st, this year was 41.3 billion Turkmen manat ($11.82 billion), Trend reports.
According to the Turkmen Central Bank, these data are 9.4 percent more than on the same date last year (37.74 billion Turkmen manat, or $10.8 billion).
The funds of state-owned firms and organizations accounted for 27.62 billion Turkmen manat ($7.91 billion), a 16.3 percent increase over the previous November 1 (23.74 billion Turkmen manat, or $6.8 billion).
At the same time, funds from corporations, non-governmental organizations, and the populace accounted for 13.67 billion Turkmen manat ($3.91 billion), a 2.3 percent decrease from the same date in 2022 (13.99 billion Turkmen manat or $4 billion).
Furthermore, the funds of individuals and entrepreneurs without the formation of a legal entity in the banks of Turkmenistan amounted to 3.97 billion Turkmen manat ($1.14 billion), which is 14.4 percent less than on November 1 last year (4.64 billion Turkmen manat or $1.33 billion).
Meanwhile, in recent years, Turkmenistan has demonstrated the rapid development of its financial sector. The country notes a significant increase in total funds in current accounts and in bank deposits, which indicates the strengthening of citizens' confidence in the banking system.
