Azerbaijan, Baku, Dec. 25 / Trend , S.Babayeva / Some 120 postal offices of the Azerpocht state venture of Azerbaijan will be connected to the national utility payment system, established by the National Bank of Azerbaijan (NBA), until the end of the year the Communication and IT Ministry said n Dec. 24.
"Today almost 84 offices have already been connected to the system. Daily four or five offices are connected to the system," Azerpocht said.
The collection of payments for electric
energy, water and gas is carried out through the system. This system was
launched in July 2008.
The further plans of the Communication Ministry are the introduction of this system in the regional post offices, but this will be more complexly because of the technical problems.
The introduction of the new system will be effective for collection of utility payments.
System is directed toward the assignment of
possibility to pay utility payments both by available amount in bank and post
offices and branches through automatic teller machines, POS- terminals,
Internet -banking.
Azerpocht unites 59 post offices, two post enterprises, two daughter
enterprises and eight communication centers.
There are over 1,300 post offices within the state venture and they cover all settlements of the country.
