Azerbaijan to act as mediator between Russian and Iranian telecom operators

Delta Telecom Company will act as a mediator between Russian and Iranian telecommunications infrastructures, Delta Telecom Technical Director Rahid Alakbarli told Trend .
Delta Telecom will implement traffic transit under a bilateral service agreement on renting international digital channels signed between the Russian Rostelecom operator and the Iranian Telecommunications Infrastructure Company (TIC) last week.
According to Alakbarli, the project includes 10 percent of Delta Telecom resources. The channel's transmission capacity is 1.25 Gbps.
Delta Telecom infrastructure allows for enhancing transmission capacity to 10 Gbps.
The communications channels companies provide to each other under the agreement can be used for mutual telephone traffic exchanges, as well as allocated tracts for transit data on Rostelecom and TIC networks
