Azerbaijan, Baku, Sept. 11 / Trend H. Valiyev /
"E-government" portal is expected to be launched by early October, head of the department at the Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry Isbandiyar Aliyev told Trend.
Aliyev said that the operations are under completion.
The electronic services already provided by state bodies, as well as new services will be available at the portal.
The portal will be a key instrument supporting the work with citizens and enterprises of public and private sectors.
X-Road system will be used while creating the "e-government" portal. It will unite the existing information bases and systems built on different platforms. X-Road system allows combining databases of various state bodies, rendering services to the public, as well as providing interactive services to engage in a 'state-citizen' dialogue.
At present, Azerbaijani five state bodies, including the Communications and IT Ministry, the Ministry of Taxes, the State Customs Committee, the State Social Protection Fund and the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection joined the portal.
The number of state bodies represented at the portal will increase. Their criteria will depend on their IT-infrastructures.
