4G Launch date depends on license availability, so the Azerbaijani mobile operator, Bakcell, can start pilot service when license is available, the company told Trend on Monday.
"Bakcell has already demonstrated pre-commercial LTE last November at BakuTel Exibition. Bakcell continue to grow its Sür@ service offering and SÜr@ customers are growing steadily," the company said.
Bakcell has taken the decision to enable all customers to use 3G services. Some customers will likely need to upgrade their handsets to take advantage of Azerbaijan's best high speed mobile data network from Bakcell, the company stressed.
