A review on the Digital Economy and Society Index (DESI) is being prepared in Azerbaijan, the Regional Innovative Technologies Academy (RITA) told Trend.
The review will be prepared on more than 30 approved indicators of statistics information characterizing the level of informatization of the society.
"To date, polls have been held in several areas outlined within the EU4Digital program upon the European Commission’s order,” the academy said. “The matter rests in DESI, which is held in six countries of the Eastern Partnership, the latter will be the fifth in a row."
The process of working out the document is coordinated by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of Azerbaijan. The work in this direction is planned to be completed before the end of August, after which the review will be submitted to the European Commission.
The index is formed on the basis of such factors as the spread of broadband access and the quality of communication, the use of the internet, human capital, the integration of digital systems and technologies and the development of digital services and public services.
