In the future, implementation of space research will be a priority area of activity for Azerkosmos OJSC, Rashad Nabiyev, the Chairman of the Azerkosmos OJSC said Oct. 16 at the event organized on occasion of awarding the winners of the “CanSat Azerbaijan 2018” satellite model competition among students.
Nabiyev noted that the main goal of the company since its establishment is the return on investment and the payment of dividends.
"Our responsibilities include solution of a number of tasks, among which the most important task is to conduct space researches in the future, develop high-tech products and train professional industry-specific personnel. From this point of view, the CanSat Azerbaijan competition plays a particularly important role," Nabiyev said.
Nabiyev noted that the students have been able to master the skills of creating satellite platforms, satellite payload, programming tasks, and have received detailed theoretical and practical knowledge for the entire period of the competition.
"They have been able to prove that they know how to work in a team and make the right decisions in a critical situation. These are the qualities that the employers are paying attention to nowadays, who along with the technical knowledge of students are also interested in how fast the students can learn and master new areas of activity," Nabiyev said.
